Eighteen-year-old In-hwa lives in Busan, Korea and is pregnant. After a painful delivery, she signs a form putting her baby up for adoption. When she is discharged from the hospital she tries to return to her ordinary life as if nothing has happened, but soon realizes this is impossible. She dreams of being separated from her mother, and the scars left on her body from the surgery remind her of her baby. In-hwa returns to the adoption agency and asks for her daughter back.
