CADENZA D’INGANNO

CADENZA D'INGANNO

In the presence of the director

“In the spring of 2000 I began making a film about adolescents in Naples. It was a very tense time because of all the violence and muggings committed by kids. I began filming in a park in the city cen- ter, in which the kids spent their afternoons playing, wiling away their time, taking a break between incursions in the city. That’s where I met Antonio. He was 12 and he let me film his everyday life. Then he began showing signs of disinterest, he began avoiding me and ultimately put an end to it: an act of resistance by a cinematic character to whom I wanted to pay tribute.” (L. Di Costanzo).
