MAGOG [O EPIFANIA DEL BARBAGIANNI]

MAGOG [O EPIFANIA DEL BARBAGIANNI]

In the presence of the director

The Po Valley as a theatre of the absurd. An incestuous snarl of architectural stratifications and structural failures. Palm trees, empty urban spaces, full urban spaces and neon palm trees. Swimming pools built in five days. Reconstructed neo-Gothic villages. Row houses upon row hous- es. Banks of olive trees and decorative illegal constructions. Endless concealing of other embarrass- ing materials... MAGOG is a sensitive observation of both landscape and contemporary society, two inter-permeating elements whose images and sounds the film offers – seemingly not synchronously – as a refletion and manifestation of human nature.
