Based on Dostoyevsky’s White Nights. A night owl walks every night along the pier in the city of his sabbatical. There, he meets a young woman waiting for her lover. They spend four nights together, as real as they are imag- ined, speaking about life. He falls in love with the woman, but her beloved finally returns.
Paul Vecchiali (Ajaccio, Corsica, 1930) revisits 1930s French cinema through linguistic experimentation and an autobiographical perspective. He is best known for the (low-budget) films Corps a coeur (1979), Rosa la rose (1985), Encore (1988, on AIDS and homosexuality) and Wonder Boy - De Sueur et de sang (1994).
