UNTEN MITTE KINN

UNTEN MITTE KINN

An acting class prepares to put on a Maxim Gorky play for their final exam. But at two and a half weeks from the performance date they have no professors guiding them or adaptation of the text, nor have the roles been cast. The show risks being a disaster. “If they try to overthrow the established order: at what cost? Does the student’s protest find its end in the call for an authoritarian projection figure, or does it lead to a genuine form of expression?” (N. Wackerbarth) Shot like a documentary, Lower Uppercut was completely improvised around a group of actors fighting against those who control and judge their work.
