LA MIA PAROLA – Shablo, Guè, Joshua

Now in its fifth year, Vedomusica continues its exploration of the Italian music video, a free, hybrid format that, out of necessity and vocation, represents an accurate expression of the Zeitgeist. Twenty titles are selected from heterogenous creative experiences to represent the diversity of approaches in terms of style, music, and production of the Italian scene. A reliable showcase and catalogue of the most interesting expressions that the sector produced in the course of the year, Vedomusica ranges from mainstream to independent music, from established directors to emerging voices: the selection aspires to be a dynamic observatory of a language that is constantly reinventing itself. Based on the results of the pre-festival contest as well the decisions of the selection committee, six titles are shortlisted to be presented during the festival screenings and evaluated by a quality jury, which will choose the winner. As every year, the section includes a focus, highlighting some theme or figure to complete the investigation of the present: after the tribute to Enea Colombi in 2024, the new chapter in this journey throughout the current trends in music videomaking consists of a monography dedicated to one of the most original personalities in the field, Tommaso Ottomano.
