IL MAGLIONE ROSSO (Italia, 1967, 35’) di Paolo Baldelli
Alla presenza del regista
Based on a stage play, Il maglione rosso was shot on 35mm, black and white film stock and performed by non-professional actors. It was a call for non-violent change at a time of great social tensions. Not accepted at the Pesaro Festival, its theatrical version entered the Ruggero Ruggeri Prize in Fano. The director stages the journey of Antus, an ordinary man forced into an apathetic and conformist society. He meets the Jester, a charismatic and provocative figure.
Born in Pesaro in 1943, Paolo Baldelli worked in cinema and theatre and wrote screenplays, poems and plays, including works inspired by the Renaissance and the Risorgimento. His films from the 1970s have recently been restored.
