“Ladies, Songs & Symphonies”
FESTA DELLA MUSICA 2025
Solisti e Orchestra ritmico-sinfonica del Conservatorio Rossini
Gian Marco Gualandi, Vincenzo Presta, Massimiliano Rocchetta arrangiamenti e direzione
In 2025, the Conservatorio Rossini rhythmic-symphonic orchestra will once again be the protagonist of World Music Day, collaborating with the Pesaro Film Festival on a new project centred on the female voice in jazz music. The programme includes a dozen of jazz standards that featured in films and were performed by renowned female singers, also known as the ‘queens’ of jazz or soul. The repertoire, with an arrangement for percussion-enhanced symphony orchestras, will be executed by the jazz singing class directed by Prof. Alessia Obino, in collaboration with faculty members of the jazz department. This approach marries music and film, thus offering the audience a multi-sensory experience through the projection of images from the films that originally featured the songs. All this makes the night of June 20 a truly magical event.
Professors Gian Marco Gualandi, Vincenzo Presta, and Massimiliano Rocchetta are responsible for arranging the music for the rhythmic-symphonic orchestra. This touching journey through music and pictures is the perfect way to celebrate World Music Day.
