PrixVida Italia is an award dedicated to video dance. It is promoted by a national network composed of 14 festivals and contests in the audio-visual field: Videobox, Catania Contemporanea-FIC Festival, Cinematica, Immagi|NA, Cam Cam, FuoriFormato, ZED Festival, Cro.me-Cronaca e Memorie dello Spettacolo, Coorpi, Movimentale, Close Up, Lago Film Fest, InVisibili Segni, and Dancescreen in the Land. Conceived to acknowledge and support video dance as an autonomous art language, the project aims to enhance the encounter of body movement, directing, editing, and visual composition. The promoting network represents an innovative model of cooperation and dissemination to strengthen the presence and distribution of video dance in Italy and worldwide. The network intends to encompass those art practices whereby choreographing is extended through the use of digital media and emerging technologies.
The 1st Prix ViDa Italia has been organised by Hangartfest, a structure recognised by the Ministry of Culture, the Regione Marche, and the Pesaro municipality. Hangartfest promotes the festival with the same name initiated in 2004, whose 22nd edition will run 5 through 9 September, 2025. From 2020, it has been promoting Interfaccia Digitale, an international dancescreen award to support the production of new dance works in video, which has joined the network through the Videobox festival. (The latter is dedicated to video dance and experimentation between performing arts and new media.) Hangartfest collaborates with CTE Square - Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti, the start-up Deep Reality, the collective Spazio XI, and the Pesaro Film Festival. On this occasion, the Pesaro Film Festival is hosting the 1st Prix ViDa Italia, thereby joining the discourse on the interplay of dance, film, and new technologies.

In partnership with Hangartfest, the Pesaro Film Festival is hosting the First Prix ViDa Italia. The shorts in competition will screen at La Maddalena on Sunday, June 15, alongside the winners of the pilot edition (2024). The winning video will be presented with the Prix ViDa Italia in Piazza del Popolo on the same evening. The initiative includes an installation, entitled Moon, which is to take place at La Maddalena on Saturday 21.
Launched last year, PesaroNuovoCinemaVr follows up, with the support of Hangartfest and ZED Festival. A selection of VR screen dance works will be presented at the Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti in Pesaro from Sunday 15 to Saturday 21 June.
