At the presence of the director

In this experimental short, which boasts a stunning use of the film stock and grain, and artfully juxtaposes colour and black-and-white negatives, someone is searching for memories of his family's past. This journey alternates between Geomeunyeo and the Buseok Temple, which are located in a straight line on the map of South Korea, and his grandmother's house in between. Geomeunyeo is a rock located in the reclaimed area of Buseok – which means floating rock – originally a reef that was exposed above sea level, but is now above ground. This project has received support from the Seoul Film Commission through EXiS - Experimental Film & Video Festival in Seoul.
