Esso: Shadows Oozing Gold is a video recording of Carloni-Franceschetti’s project with the same name that won Italian Council #10, a project of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture to promote and disseminate contemporary Italian visual arts globally. The two artists describe the nature of their work and the genesis of their projects, the result of a reversal of their research on Fascism, the figure of Pier Paolo Pasolini, and refugees’ conditions.
